Hello Everyone,
Just checking to see if there is anyone (or group) traveling from the Southeast / East Coast to the Southwest soon?
I am currently in Central Florida planning on heading that way soon and thought it might be fun to travel with other rigs on the way out.
Hope you are all having a great day!!
God Bless!

We are in KY and will be traveling west, if all goes right, around the second week of Nov.

Different people have different social needs, but one of my worst nomadic experiences was being in a convoy. There were only four of us but it was the classic cat herding situation. I wish you luck.

MrNoodly,
Thanks for your insight, you do make a good point
However, I have concerns about what our great country will look like in the coming weeks and months.......
I really think traveling / camping in small groups should be highly considered.
We may really need to share knowledge and resources.
Just some food for thought. I pray that all are prepared for a long few months. Prep for the worst and pray for the best.
God Bless
Vern

Hello Cammula,
Great! Not sure when I will leave. It really depends on how things play out over the next few weeks.

Wait until after the election.

For sure not going far until after the election. That brings up a whole new conversation...
Preparing for chaos as a nomad. Just another reason to consider gathering together in small groups.
Im thinking about those who just dont have room in their vans (or other vehicles) to stock up on essentials.
I think I will start a new thread on this topic.

Given how things have been going the past 7 months, I think it's a good idea to stock up on some food reserves, especially if on the road. After all, RVers generally have most everything else for basic self-sufficiency.

I've been sequestering at home during that time, while wishing I were on the road, especially as I've spent about 1/3 of the time traveling over the past 3 years. Foo. So I've been getting a lot of home deliveries from Walmart, free shipping on orders over $35. A deal. Maybe n
ot such a bad idea to emulate the Mormons. Or just remembering from Boy Scouts: Be Prepared.

We are planning a trip to quartzite in January but will be coming from the north. I have never been to Az before. Do I need to worry about snakes or scorpions?

They hibernate in the winter, 3 winters there & I never saw any.

never ever put your hands and feet where you can't see. I have seen snakes and scorpions in the winter but it is rare. I see them mostly under something like a piece of wood or a rock. highdesertranger

Totally agree with you on convoying with a group unless you are a diehard loner.  Less stressful worrying about a blowout, etc. It's fun, why be in such a hurry that if someone needs to stop and use the rest room it's the end of the world because "I didn't want to stop".  I would team up with you but my travels start in January.  Have fun, be safe, keep your group < than a kagillion!!

Looks like it is happening!!!     Check Bob's last live feed video on youtube in regards to traveling to Quartzsite for the 2021 "vacation" He and Susan have planned. Hope to meet so many new people!! and cant wait to meet Bob and Susan!
Anyone headed west from the east coast? I would love to travel out there with a few people.
Womens "vacation" Jan 21-26th
