Travel trailers vs. trailerable boats

It seems to me a trailerable boat would often be a better option than a travel trailer. It's light and more streamlined so would give better mileage and you could almost always use a boat ramp to sleep at without being bothered. If someone might have a problem with it just offload and anchor close by. And of course you could use it for regular camping on land as well.<br><br>Seems like this would be a huge advantage in areas like the eastern US where it can be hard to find a place to park. Usually very pleasant and scenic as well.
 
what kind of boat are you talking about that is lighter than a trailer but you could sleep in?&nbsp; highdesertranger
 
&nbsp;Something like a 20-22' powerboat. They usually have a cuddy cabin and would very livable with a full enclosure.
