Before I left on the inaugural trip with my converted cargo trailer, I checked the lug nuts and greased the wheel bearings.  I did not use a toque wrench just tried the lugs with a good four way lug wrench. The trailer came equipped with E-ZLUBE fittings.  I picked up a grease gun and a cartridge of marine and off road grease.  It took 25 to 30 pumps of the grease gun before the bearings were properly lubed.

During the trip I checked hub temperature with a Non-contact Digital Infrared Thermometer.  At no time did the hub temperature exceed 105 degrees F.
