No good California pizza?

WAR!

I know of a sourdough pizza in the Napa Valley that will make you a believer.

A pitcher of good beer--- we will at least have a good time...

I have heard it said that "frozen pizza is like sex--even if it's not done very well, it's still pretty good".

:)

Hmm...whoever said that could be on to something.

Standing at the freezer door looking for a quick, cheap meal and Totino's $1.25 gourmet delights fit the bill. Let them puppies cool a bit, right out of the oven it's like eating molten lava.

I am,  in fact,  drinking PBR while reading your post.

I still like my IPA burps. But where domestic swill is concerned, PBR is king.

Frozen pizza is one of the few things I miss while living in a van. I sometimes substitute with pizza rolls,  which are easy to cook in a skillet and stirring around a lot.

Pizza rolls are great and suffice for me as a treat (doing low carb).  I guess in my travels I will find a PBR again. :)

I have bought frozen pizzas from the 99 Cents Only store. They're pretty good and might fit in a pan on the stove. Have the people who travel across country come across many 99 Cents stores? They're everywhere here (CA).

India Pale Ale.

They are usually quite potent with 6.5 to 7% alcohol, where as Budweiser is about 5%, and coors light is 3.2% or something equally watery.

Stone IPA is brewed here in San diego and has apparently become popular nationwide. I'm not really a fan if there is another offered option I take it.

I've not tried the 99 cent store pizzas, but have seen them. Now that 99 cent only stores, sell many things well over 99 cents and are not always well marked as such, I dismissed them.

99 cent stores don't charge 99 cents for everything.
Cheap beer is better than expensive beer.

All this belongs in that other thread !

Stern Wake should have added YARC to the title.....................

There might have to be some "Stinkin' Badges" as a result of this!

Any frozen pizza is better than the pizza at Chuck E Cheese.  Biscuit dough(in my opinion) is not an option.

Thanks for the link STERNWAKE on IPA.   I add more to the 99 cent pizzas like cheese/mushrooms, herbs, etc.   It's either 99 cents or the most is $1.99/never seen anything ever more.  I still think that's a good deal if you can add what you like.

In all fairness, I've never been there (Napa) for pizza, so you could very well be right about CA pizza.  The beer could make things seem better...and a good time is probably the best thing about eating pizza with friends.

Ok, where is this Napa pizza? I am hoping to get out there this fall and love taking drives from where I will be in Sonoma County over to Napa. :)

We have 99cent frozen pizzas here and they are awesome. I never would have thought to try to cook one in a pan though but am going to try it!

If you're a pizza connoisseur you must get to New Haven, Ct.  Pepe's or Sally's on Wooster St, Grand Apizza on Grand Ave or Modern Apizza on State St. Better yet - just go to all 4 :D !
Was in the neighborhood, just having a Grand Casino for 'brunch' this very moment, delicious, thanks for the tip!
