Just wondering the different ways you have installed privacy curtains in your vehicle? I have a SUV and would like to use computer at night while being stealthy.

Decent blackout curtains can be obtained at WM.  They come in a variety of widths and lengths.  I bought two and used a grommet to connect them in the middle at the top and added grommets to hang it from hooks placed behind the front seats.  This is a van (Roadtrek) implementation though.  To use it, we just unhook from the one hook it is hanging from on the drivers side and hook it across the van on the other hooks.  By it being split in the middle makes ingress/egress from the front or back easy.  I put the white side to the back for light reflection in the back and the color that matches the front interior to the front.  Can you tell it's a curtain there?  Yes, if you are looking.  If it is dark outside, I doubt it, haven't checked.  We also have a windshield sunscreen that fits extremely well (ordered a custom fit one) and use Refletix on the front side windows.  These could be covered on the side facing out with a material glued to it using super 77 spray glue, forgot the mfg. name (Scotch?).

Just shifting your position on the inside makes the whole vehicle shake....  Turn the sound off on the computer or use headphones with the volume low.

Best bet would use the computer at a grocery store or WM that is open late (don't try to hide) like you are waiting for someone to come out of the store and then leave to go to your sleeping spot.  Don't let one overlap the other.

There have been a few long threads on this subject in the last few months. If you go to the Search feature for the forum and type in "Blackout" I think you will see several discussions.

If you are on residential streets in the same city all of the time, then stealth can be important. If you are traveling and only spending one or two nights in each city/town, then just park where they already know you are sleeping in your rig (Walmart, Cracker Barrel, most truck stops, etc.). Then your truck moving when you do and absolute blackout are not such an issue.

I would avoid using a laptop in a stealth sleeping location. Make note of a good location at dusk, then drive to a location offering free WiFi and use your laptop where no one will bother you. Hanging curtains in the front windows defeats the whole stealth idea, and using a laptop in the back of an SUV is a PITA.

As much as stealth enthusiasts don't want to admit it, many people will know that you are sleeping in your rig if you park in a public place. Fortunately, most people "live and let live". As long as you are discreet (no loud noises, littering, urinating in parking lots, etc), few will bother you.
