Hello Everyone!

I grew up camping in our 1979 Dodge conversion van and when I had the opportunity a few years ago I picked up a 2005 Chevy Express (the WhiteBuffalo) and did a "budget" campervan build.  Something like a Roadtrek or Sportsmobile will be out of reach for the foreseeable future.

I'm always looking to share and obtain new ideas and this looked like a nice budget-minded group to learn from.  I'm mostly a long weekend camper but hope to do some extend stints living in the van.  There are definitely changes I would like to make. I hope to learn and share as much as I can!

Welcome to the CRVL forums, zuren! That looks like a cleanand efficient conversion! I like it!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forum :)

I think for those who haven't started out with a bare Cargo Van and put a ply wood floor & carpet down,  built a raised bed frame to mount a simple bed on, and converted a kitchen floor cabinet into a Van's kitchenette to hit the road for a few extended week end adventurers, have missed some great fun.   Like a preview of what is possible once they get a their legs under them for this kind of living on long term.  They will at least have a chance to tell if it is for them or not to go full time or stick with the short tours before returning home.

The websites below are to help those who are just starting out in this lifestyle.   One gets a rig ready to
travel and live in and the other gets the rig owner ready for where he can go on the road,  camp,  attractions
he can visit,  and loads of other information that may be of benefit in different circumstances, all at the click of a
mouse.
