I've been thinking about getting on the road for about the past year, and I'm now pulling the trigger!  I'm flying to Austin to pick up my van and driving back to Atlanta tomorrow...very exciting, and a little daunting as well.

When I return it's going to be a whirlwind of activity as I try to get it ready for life on the road in a few months.  I have some resources in the way of very descriptive blogs and a manual from another builder, but what I lack is the help to get this thing done on time and in budget.  If anyone is near the Atlanta area and could offer any help at all, I would be extremely grateful!!

Congratulations, Kayt! And welcome to the CRVL forums! I don't know who's down south, now. But in the cooler months there is a roaming SE gathering, that might be willing to help. Watch for posts in December and January. All you need to start is a sleeping bag, bucket and cooler.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Congratulations on making the jump, kayt!! Enjoy the journey and take pictures, and ask lots of questions and we'll definitely be with you in spirit and opinion!!

Welcome aboard Kayt !
