I found an informative article in Wand’rly Magazine from March 2017 titled, “The Average Nightly Cost of RV Camping in the United States.”

It has a lot of data and figures about the current cost of campgrounds broken down by private, public, region, and individual states.

Some things are not surprising (campgrounds in the northeast are most expensive; those in the southwest are least expensive).

But knowing the average campground prices in every state should be helpful for those trying to create a travel budget.

Thanks for the link. It's wonderful.

don't mean to be a downer but their info on dispersed camping is just totally wrong. I have only had to pay on BLM land once in 50 years and that is when I mistakenly camp inside a LTVA. if you choose you could camp for free 365 days a year. don't know how they missed that. highdesertranger
