Anyone every done anything like that? How does one find out about such opportunities?

Regarding working in medical marijuana, I'm thinking of working on a farm, trimming or even an extraction/edibles facility. How do you know if it's legit and legal?

Re: hippie communes, I was thinking of some remote place where I can offer my skilled or unskilled labor for a week or a month in exchange for food, water, other items for trade and/or modest wage.

Working in a legal grow you must get legal clearance. And you have to know someone.

As for "Hippy communes" ???

Try googleing what you want.

I haven't done it myself but know someone who used to run a medical farm and have talked to people who worked harvesting jobs. Basically, you get paid almost nothing but you get a place to set up your tent (or van) and all the weed you can smoke during your stay plus some for the ride.

Not sure if things are changing now that it's less illegal (still illegal federally and not everything is settled in states where recreational is allowed) but that's how it has been.

There are online forums dedicated to this stuff - you might get better info there.

Mostly just a "pipe dream" if you don't know someone in the business...(get it?...pipe dream...har har...I'm hilarious!). That will prob change somewhat as farms get legitimized, but the competition will be "high"... (omg...again?!?). Anyways, I imagine you can do it if you're motivated enough. Talk to other groomers/farmers, ask them what you should know and stuff. If you're inexperienced, maybe take notes through out your process and write a book(e-book maybe). Think how many stoners want that kind of job! G'luck!

I am not sure if this is what you are thinking about when you say 'hippie communes' but try looking up intentional communities.
