Storing Van Seats

I have a Chevy Astro Van that I'm taking the back seats out of and am looking for advice on the best way to keep them clean and the mice out while storing them. (I hope mice won't be an issue, but they do get into my garage from time to time).

Thanks for the peppermint oil suggestion, if I were to sell the van I wouldn't want the seats smelling like mothballs.&nbsp; I'm also looking for thoughts on what I should cover them with - old sheets was my first thought.&nbsp; I've also seen furniture wrapped in plastic, but I wonder if that's a good idea for long-term storage.

I gave mine to the junkman; the junkman turned out to be a woman with a cool name---DieselDog---anyway I hope I don't need them again. Life is a trip.

I might end up doing the same, but not until I've decided I like the lifestyle and the Van.

I filled up the spare bedroom with the passenger seats from my 12 passenger van, want to put them back in when I trade van in.

&nbsp;WW, mount them on the roof and charge for sightseeing around Flag !&nbsp; On a more serious note definately keep them, the van will be worth much more with them than without if the time comes to trade or sell.<BR>&nbsp; How long have you been in Flagstaff? I graduated high school there in 64.

&nbsp; I would suggest mattress covers.&nbsp; They are LARGE plastic bags sold by U-Haul.&nbsp; Maybe put a dryer sheet in the bag along with the seats before sealing them up.&nbsp; I've removed the rear seats from my Honda Element and I've stored them in a spare bedroom.&nbsp; But, if I had to store them in the garage I'd put them in plastic bags.&nbsp; I'm located in Phoenix and it's very dusty here.&nbsp; Just a suggestion.<br><br>Best,<br>motorandy

Love the idea of mounting on the roof, surprised no one in Sedona is doing that yet <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle">

Mattress stores have plastic shipping covers they toss in the dumpster. All you would need then is a roll of tape.
