Does anyone know a good way to store boxes of Snap*N*Store?

the best way is to digitize your whole collection, and give them (while retaining ownership) to a relative to keep for you.  Then you can watch them anytime, and still have them.

I just copied all mine to external hard drive Started with one terabyte now have a two with 587 movies

Just out of curiosity, how long did that project take you?

Any special software or hardware needed due to copy protection?

Thanks.

Regards
John

Yes special software is needed. It will take months and practice. If you are not into it becoming a hobby to change convert disks, then you will need to spend dollars for the electronic saved versions. No easy way to make it happen.

Just curious also.   Are or were you trying to watch those on a computer running Windows 10 ?

Windows 7. You can watch on win10 with good software though.

Takes a long time after my accident was stuck in wheelchair in the house for a year so had lots of time . Think the converter was 20 dollars.

Goshawk,

That good software ?  Try:   VLC Media Player (free)

www.videolan.org

So if you have an earlier computer/lap top with a CD/DVD player/burner that has been upgraded to Windows 10, this should allow you to play
earlier media that MS has deemed obsolete where the new MS media player won't support it.

X2 on VLC
A great very capable piece of media software.
Spend some time looking at all the other cool things it will do besides just playing music or videos...

I love it , been using it as my main player for years.
And woo-hoo, it's FREE !
