I am from Missouri really have no problems with living here alone but roommate costs a lot more then living in the van and trailer. A bit about what has happened I had a heart attack all most a year ago I can't hit the road till October trying to save Money is a mess . Thanks for letting me vent.

I've had a heart attack too, and originally am from Missouri. Eventually you _can_ get better, but for me at least it was a long, slow process. I hope it goes well for you. Best of luck getting out of the Missouri weather!

So I guess you moved out of the van and moved in with someone?Good luck.

One nice thing about Missouri is there are many cheap campgrounds run by the Army Corps of Engineers which are cheap (for seniors especially with the federal discount card) and almost all have electricity and hot showers. There is also Forest Service land boondocking available if you have the vehicle to handle dirt roads. But if you have medical concerns, the ACE campgrounds might be something to look into since you can keep warm with an electric heater and electric blanket and take a shower whenever you want and you'll have a campground host to call on if you need emergency assistance. Look on allstays.com and select to see the Army Crops of Engineers campgrounds.m

There are more than a couple of us, here, that can relate. I keep getting back on the road and then health issues push me off. Hold on to the dream. Sometimes it is the only thing that keeps us moving forward.

Still have my van and cargo trailer to cold to sleep in the van and trailer right now. I am hopeful to get back on the road in October.

Feel for you. Health situations are bad enough but worse when you are being trapped by them and all you want is something different but this is the time to relax, chill, heal and good times will be coming your way :) When you do hit the road in Oct you will be smiling like a maniac and enjoy the hell out of it!! Hold strong, winter is soon to be over and nice weather coming and that will take some of the misery out of being stuck. Vent away, it is good for your soul!

yup, life throws trials at us all the time. how ya get thru it is key to having a great life. being miserable works against us, being happy in the moment works for us :)

Lots of us here gimped out in one way or another. The winter is a bitch. Even much further South than where you are.
Gray cloudy mess in my neck of the woods at present. :(

Talked to the doc about an indoor pool near you?

Doing a weekly swim can do wonders for your stamina.

Are you getting out enough?

Good news from the cardiologist no change . Was told I have lost 8 pounds and I asked him where he laughed over that remark

I wish I'd lost eight pounds...

I was doing good on weight loss while on the road. It was coming off slowly. Now that I am stuck here I guess I am eating bigger portions. I found five of those pounds you lost.

I put on a lot of belly weight. Still in my 34" waist jeans though. Would like to get back into 32" waist ones.
