stealth camping/boondocking - please explain

Hi<br>Pardon my ignorance I am in Australia.<br><br>What is boondocking?<br>I think I can work out stealth camping.....not that I could really get away with it in my little motorhome but I think in the future I may have to downsize back to a Toyota or Merc or Transit so I will read up all I can on stealth...<br><br>When I am passing through Adelaide Sth Australia I have often parked overnight in the city, I choose either a parking spot by the hospital or a spot in a rail station car park just out of town or a legal park in the area where there are lots of apartments - never been hassled yet!<br><br>Perhaps Adelaide is a bit more laid back than some places! I know I could not have done it in Darwin!<br><br>annie

Boondocking - &nbsp;camping with no utility connections. No sewer, no electricity, no water, no cable tv, no shower. &nbsp;Most expensive commercial camp grounds have this.&nbsp;

&nbsp;Stealth camping is parking overnight in populated areas where it's quasi-legal or even illegal thus the need for stealth.<br><br>&nbsp; Boondocking is camping on public land (in the US it can be Bureau of Land Management land, state land or national forest land) usually out in the boonies with no utilities.<br><br>&nbsp;Dry camping is camping or parking with no utilities - could be in a public park campground or in a parking lot where RVs are invited to stay overnight such as casinos or big box stores.<br><br>&nbsp;Some people get very picky about the definitions. ;-)
