For what it’s worth, one of the best things I ever did was 17-18 years ago, when I began seeing a chiropractor/homeopath/holistic health care practitioner.

Although I have had a few bumps, I have weathered those well, am very rarely sick and attribute that to my twice yearly trips to him and to taking the supplements he says we all need to take.

Super B complex, glucosamine, calcium, omega 3’s.

The B vitamins keep our organs working well, and working well together, and are especially important.

My insurance doesn’t cover him, so I have to pay cash, and get my supplements on sale at Walgreens.

He says traditional medicine deals with symptoms, rather than causes, and particularly by the time B deficiencies are noted by a regular doctor you are in serious trouble.

He also told me during an exam a year or two after my husband died that extreme and prolonged physical and/or emotional stress can deplete your bodies store of B vitamins.

I trust him completely, and this has worked well for me.

I wish I had found him earlier in my life.

If you find yourself struggling with lots of health issues, perhaps consider seeing one of these specialists.

I have been reading a lot about different diets, and it drives one's head around in circles. I had long thought the best way to get your proper amount of B vitamins, calcium, and omega-3s was via diet, rather than via supplements: specifically grains, dairy, fish, and vegetables.

But now, many of these diets, like the one I just posted, are indicating that much of what I just listed are big problem foods. So, maybe better to follow the restrictive diets and load up on supplements to compensate? Of course there are warnings about taking high doses of supplements too. Duh, it never ends. The head spins. So, trying to find something in the middle.

I am interested in what people have been doing to stay healthy when on the road. Not about exercising (there is a parallel thread for that) or "carrying" (there are many many threads for that), but general precautions for staying well and not getting sick, like winter time diets, supplements, etc.

#1. for example, this time of the year colds and flus are rampant. And statistics shows that most people don't die of the flu per se, but from catching pneumonia as a result.

#2. last winter, many in the youtuber tribe community were sick with flu in their vans, largely I think due to so much communal hugging and handshaking and friendly greeting kisses, whatnot.

#3. I've been leery of flu shots, as the past couple of years, they seem to have been making the wrong brews, which have been somewhat ineffective, and they don't figure it out until too late.

#4. I am also interested in what people may know about "chronic inflammation", as that seems to be a distinct cause of all sorts of disease, according to articles in AARP bulletins.

First thing about "chronic inflammation". Mostly caused by long term bad eating. Best thing usually is long supervised water fast followed by correct eating. Read Herbert Shelton "Fasting Can Save Your Life" and other titles. I have found using Oreganol Extra Strength-(I cap it) along with drinking liberal amounts of colloidal silver, which I make myself helps me avoid the winter infections and viruses. But continuing to create toxemia with your food habits, then trying to fix it with supplements is futile.

So nice someone is resurrecting mr. Qxxx.

Are you promoting the water fasting, or flu shots?
