Pikachu711, that is certainly a positive. Thank you for being considerate of others who may need a lift.
Yesterday morning as I was checking out at Walgreens, I mentioned to the cashier that I was going to McDonald's to get a sandwich and a coffee. She said she wished she had a McGriddle. I don't think she was hinting for me to fulfill her wish. However, although I was in a hurry, I purchased a McGriddle with hash browns and coffee and drove it back to her. She was surprised and thankful.
I try to let my conscience be my guide.

I am grateful for being blessed with the ability to both appreciate and enjoy the beauty that surrounds me. Wild_E I love your description of the snow falling at night, it is an amazing experience, that you captured beautifully.

Last summer on the way home from a trip to the Grand Canyon with my brother we stopped at a Cracker Barrel to eat dinner. When I went to the cashier to pay the bill she said it was already paid. Don't know who paid the bill or why, he had on a shirt stating he was a Veteran and we always have a silent prayer before eating. Could have been one or the other of these also could have been a spontaneous action by a person "paying it forward".

We had the money to pay the bill but it makes you stop and think that it is really thoughtful for someone to do something like that for a total stranger. Since we didn't know who to thank we "passed it forward" to someone else.

We do live in a great United States.

Man, I enjoy these positive stories.

Nothing to do with me, just some mighty fine folks sharing good things in their life>

More and more I notice people being nice to me. Often, I am invited to cut in line at the check-out or someone opens the door for me. I was going to dye my hair and mustache. But, it might to my advantage that I don't.
I was taught to be nice to older people also.

I enjoy reading the positive notes and hope they continue.

Bear, probably the name. Anyone who catches bears isn't going to be messed with.

I have an awesome dog who loves me. You might laugh about it, but she really is my best friend.

Stumbled on this tonight, and it had me laughing and crying at the same time. It's a compilation of dogs welcoming soldiers home.
There is little that is more positive and less judgmental than than a dog's love, fluffabear; they understand the concept of unconditional love better than most people do :)

Welcome tinman. collecting 1300 per month and medicare to boot roof over my head on and on ..

The most amazing thing, when you reach out and help someone, you are the one getting helped. Who knew?

Self-less-ness subdues the ego and boycotts desire.

2013 has been a year of travel for me. Even if I no longer have my beloved white van as a home.
Went to Taiwan (God! That's how we should be if we got our act together). Visited turtle reservation beaches. Went back to Corregidor island (last bastion of US troops during WW2 before retreating to Australia) and followed the Death March ww2 trail. Lots of history and learning. Went on a ton of road trips with friends and relatives. Flew back to the USA for a bit before having to fly back to the Philippines on emergency (Mum was hospitalized). Still here watching over the folks. Went to HOng Kong for the first time in my life (GOD! That's a first world nation!). Taipei was better and cleaner, but still... HK was super impressive. More dense than New York City and packed to the gills with everything. A giant shopping mall. though I bought very little. Took nothing but pictures.

It's been a great year. 2013.
