Good things happen in your life? Meet someone interesting? On a new path? Want to share?

Positive??
I've got a good gal that loves me, and a dog that tolerates me, or is it the other way around?? :D
I like our rolling lifestyle, and feel fortunate for all the friendly people we've met.
Of that much I am very positive.
Thanks for asking, but what about you?? :)

On one side goes the heart........on the other a feather.

The lack of response makes me think some of you think you have nothing positive in your life. I would ask you to look around and share. The day break is Thanksgiving and I would ask each and every one of you to have a great day, where ever you are. Everyone here is in your corner, we are with you. Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving All.

Great news Stargazer! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

Owl,

Same to you, friend!

If it was the Big C, I was going to book a 119-day, round the world cruise, in an attempt to spend all my money. Maybe take a handsome young stud...er...nurse along. Or the cruise to Rio for Carnaval! Now THAT would be one fun time!! I was a little disappointed...cuckoo, huh?

So instead, I booked a little trip to Vegas for Christmas. A brief interlude with the slots. Hehehe!

Best wishes to all!

Happy Thanksgiving to you also Owl,

I was only half joking when I said I awoke this morning... and that was positive.

There are three times in my life that God, fate or whatever you believe in has kept me here.

On New Years eve day, 23 years ago, My house burnt to the ground in the very early morning hours. My second alarm for work is what woke me up. When I called in to work... I found out I was not scheduled to work that day.

In Nov 2006, In the very early morning hours. I hurt so bad in my midsection. I decided it warranted a trip to the ER. They decided to keep me overnight for some tests. Within 30 minutes of that decision I had an artery collapse in my heart. I had to have emergency Cardiac Catheterization. I was 46 years old. A hospital it the best place to have a heart attack.

In Aug 2011, when my Uncle was killed in an auto accident that literately drowned him in lye, it was only a quirk that I was following him instead of being in the truck with him. We had been in his truck, hanging out at the casinos together all evening and into the early morning. The extreme heat had caused an eclectic outage at my house. It was supposed to be back on at 2am. We stopped to check it at 2am and found it still out. Not to be fixed till 4am. But I picked up my van. My uncle died at 2:30am. If we had known the electric would not be fixed till 4am... We never would have stopped, I would have left my van there and I would have been in that truck with him. Even if I had survived the wreck.. I probably would not have survived the lye.

So my life is always positive, even if something not so good happens. The alternative to those three events is that I would not be here to tell the story. So you see I am thankful every day I wake up, not just on Thanksgiving.

I am thankful every day as Ice said. Today I am thankful for family and extended family. Some of us had a great Thanksgiving meal together today including a 90 year old grandmother.
I'm thankful for safety in traveling for my family. I am daily loaded with blessings. So, lets keep looking to the hills from wince cometh our help and stay thankful.
I hope I'm positive enough.

I.M. B.C. and everyone, positive things happen in our lives everyday but sometimes we miss them because we get got up in the negative. Hearing about good things happening to others makes my day. Thanks for sharing.

Positive,
I read this, then sat thinking for 45 min before finding something positive, the last few weeks and months have been very negative, bad luck, negative people, bad health, etc etc.

Snow,
a few days ago there was no snow here, it was muddy, cold, wet, miserable really. Pulled up at 7pm, took the dog out of the neighbour's barn (Canadian Redneck doggy daycare!!!) had to use flashlight it was so dark. We romped a bit in the dark, playing fetch then into to the box truck camper to make dinner. A few hours later we came out to so she could do her nature calls outside. Both of us stopped dead in our tracks, for within two hours there was about 4 cm of snow on the ground with snow falling gently from the sky. The thing that made us stop dead in our tracks was the fact that it was so light outside now, remember just two hours ago at 7pm I had to use a flashlight to see, now the entire sky and area was lit up in a quite bright glow.

The fresh snow was glistening on the ground while the snow falling down was like brightly reflective pixy dust in the air. Everything was calm and O so quiet with the only sound being the crunch of frozen ground through the soft powder that was dusting our feet. With the calm snow the temperatures inside had risen another 5 deg celsius so we were warmer, the incessant winds of the last two weeks had finally abated as well.

My dog was running around happily jumping in the snow, I started scooping up snow to toss at her, she jumping down in that grinning doggy play way, paws spread with her face close to the ground. Tossing snow while she attacked it in mid air or tried to catch it in her jaws is a favourite game to play with fresh powder here.

The purity of freshly fallen snow glistening in the night or day is magical, something that only people from the North can fully love and appreciate. The quiet that enshrouds the land dampening all sound is another wonder and breathtaking experience, so peaceful and serene in its own purity.

Winter is both lovely and dangerous at the same time, lifting the soul in joy with its beauty!

Wild_E, you have a way of making snow sound nice. We both enjoy pics of snow scenes and your description is beautiful....But, snow is something we have no desire to live with. Neither of us ski and have no other interest in winter sports. Just us tho :D

Anytime you feel the muse we'll be happy to about your snowy scenes ;)

I posted this elsewhere, but I'll repeat it

I'm thankful that I have a relationship with God who paid the price. I'm thankful for my family who show me unconditional love (if it was conditional, trust me I would not get love) a family who understand and support my travels, friends who love me like family and the strangers I get to meet who add so much flavor to my travels . I'm thankful I live in a country at a time when I can do the things I do that I have lived a life with more adventure..... than I ever deserved. I'm thankful for the good days that I get so I can enjoy all the things I am thankful for.
I'm also thankful for the internet......it makes my world so small....it allows me to share my adventurers and to jump in on other people's adventures too!!!

Was at the AM/PM tonight, and the kid 2 people in front of me had run his ATM card dry. I put his purchases with mine, paid for all of it, and wished him a happy Thanksgiving. Got a hug and heartfelt thanks worth so much more than the $$ I spent.

Once in a while I do something to make someone's holiday something to remember.

One time I went to one of the many of the buffets here in Las Vegas. When I arrived at the buffet it was somewhat slow at the moment. After I paid my admission to the buffet I told the cashier that I'd like to pay for two additional persons admissions to the buffet. After paying for the unknown people's buffet I told the cashier to give it someone they thought needed the "free" buffet tickets. She thanked me very much for my kindness and I then proceeded to enter the buffet and enjoyed it tremendously.

Giving anonymously is a great thrill. Once a year I enjoy just paying for someone's meal here in Vegas. Normally it's at a buffet I happen to be frequenting at the moment. It does feel very good to just give selflessly to someone you will never see!
