Ok I am new to this stuff. I hooked up my solar panel to my rv battery and I am also hooked up to the power at the campground. Am I saving on electric by having it hooked up like this? Thank you for any help you can give.

Yes, your solar panel will supply some of the power to the 12v stuff. Probably not noticeable.

Do you have a charge controller between solar panel and battery? Don't want to over charge and cook batteries.
