I'd say that you could get much more for much less somewhere else. That charge controller is only 10 amps and you'd have to buy another one if you intend to get more solar happening. Truth be told, I could get the same output for near 1/2 the price.. with a 20 amp charge controller to boot. I'd advise you to shop around a bit more. ..Willy.

I think willys right. Probably not the best kit to get.

Also 200watts is on the small side. Obviously that varies depending on what you plan to run and how sunny it is in your area. But unless you don't have the room on your roof you should probably plan to have the capability of easily adding another panel if necessary. That means have a controller and wiring already installed that can handle another panel.

Also if you are dead set on agm batteries you might want to look into sears platinum batteries. They are rebadged oddessys and they are held in high regard on the electric car forums. When on sale they are often the best deal around. I don't remember which model they usually use you would have to google for details.

That lifeline battery you linked to looks pretty good as well, though normally you would get one with bolt posts instead of automotive if you have a choice. Keep in mind that lifeline weighs 124lbs and probably hard to find locally which makes replacement a little more difficult.

Make sure you check out the links in the sticky at the top of this section.

I've been reading a few recent reports that the sears Die Hard Platinums are not the battery they once were.
Looking closely at the recent specs between Odyssey and DHP's , the Odysseys weigh more, suggesting different internals.

Lifelines are supposedly the MacDaddy of AGM batteries.

I think most solar Kits are not a deal. I'd rather find the panel I want, a controller with good reviews and some headroom for expansion, and oversize cable, and figure out a better mounting method designed around a specific roof, not all of them.
