Solar on Bob’s van

Has Bob done a video where he showed the solar install in his high top? Was just rewatching the vid where he put up the space blanket over the rear doors and was interested in how the panels appeared to maybe pull out to get that last one in. Thanks!

The slope on the front of his high top leaves less level space on the roof. So he added extensions to his solar panel rack that have the rear panel jutting out beyond the roof. It's like that all the time. It doesn't slide.

Thanks. All the time seems like it’d be a potential hazard but that’s just me, he’s got the proof lol.

bob also has a bumper rack with a box on the back of his rig. it looks to stick out at least as far as the panels. if he were to back into something i think the box would hit before the panels.

i too have my panels hanging over the back about a foot. not a big deal, just something to keep in mind when backing up. but i dont make a habit of backing up till something hits anyways so not much of a problem
