Thought it would be a fun and interesting thread to just hear your daily adventures - wild, weird or mundane.

Well, I binge watched sports. EPL all morning, Sunday football mixed with MLS playoffs as the walking dead.

Slept in, had crackers and peanut butter for breakfast, did a quick sponge bath, checked email, wrote email, worked on a video, went for brunch (chicken fried steak), read, thought deep thoughts, blogged, napped, co-starred in a demonstration video, checked the football scores, gathered for an evening chat, had a ham sandwich for dinner, read and commented on this forum...

Did laundry, rode my bike. Decided I came to Ehrenberg way to early, it's to hot here for me. Visited with other cheap RV members. Sat with friends and watched the sunset then discussed the important things of the Universe such as bigfoots and flying saucers. Alas, we solved no problems nor found any answers. We rounded the evening off by telling silly jokes.another day in Paradise.

My first goal for Sunday was take stuff to my Aliner to get it ready for a trip. Then I needed to " find the floor" in the cab of my truck.  I know it's there behind the front seats under the plastic tote and all the other stuff back there that's stacked to the top of the front seats........It was just last year when it was last sighted   :-/

Instead I washed and hung up 4 lines of laundry, made hamburger patties with lotssa chopped onion/garlic pepper and cooked them in a big iron skillet that I now can barely lift when it's empty.  Went to 5 stores looking for a tool I need.  Sat in the Aliner with Qeenie and just chilled while telling her " This is ours and we make the rules in this home".  Discovered  I'd lost the lock to 1 storage unit & it was unlocked for over 24hrs and the keys to the others were missing too.  Panic attack/Wally World/ 3 new locks.  Gassed up at Marathon, grocery shopped and went home.

A fun time was had by on and all :D
I'll be glad when I retire so I can take it easy........Oh wait, I did that already.......over 10ys ago  :D

Jewellann and Queenie

Well, for Sunday, I got my laundry done, slept from 1 pm to 7 pm (I work graveyard so getitng ready for the week coming) then grabbed $80 (Walmart CC cash advance) and lost it gambling (Smacks head on door jamb) watched highlights of Cleveland vs Dallas (Go BOYS!!) Then sat and surfed the net till 5:45 am Went back into Walmart, got 2 salads and an extra bag of iceberg lettuce and plan to make 3-4 salads for $8 outlay.

Sitting here at the library at 11:26 am planning on leaving at 1 pm and going for water then sleeping again till 7 pm....Then off to work.

I had an interview at chipotle... Hope to get a call back, and now I'm at brewery in Panama City beach call nivol brewery, enjoying a nice IPA.

Called around for the best price on a crankshaft position sensor, installed it in the parking lot of thd store where i bought it, filled the fuel tank, and spent several hours driving around town and on the interstate to confirm that the part i installed actually fixed the problem. So far, so good.

Walked my dog several times, took some photos, talked to an out-of-state friend via cell phone, added 2 boxes of books to my van from my storage unit, checked email, watched youtube videos, and of course, surfed this forum :)

Woo-hoo! Had a hot shower at a convenience store. In the women's restroom. Because the shower in the men's room is broken. Two bucks. Bring your own towel.

Oh, and I had pancakes for breakfast. Love that pancake mix in a bottle. Add water, shake, and there you go.

Had eggs cooked over an open fire.
Rode the big bike into town to get some shade cloth and a fan clutch.
Helped a neighbor fix a rear flat on his motorcycle.
Replaced the fan clutch on my van.
Had a great dinner cooked by another neighbor.
Sat around the fire, chatted and met some new folks.
Now going to bed. :)
A good day

I went rock climbing this morning. Beautiful day to be outside. Feels good to be sore!

I got to deal with the grumpiest border guard I've met in 40 years of crossing the border! I always try to cross after they've had a second cup of coffee and before they get grumpy from dealing with other peoples' shit but obviously my timing sucked this morning.... :D

Then I armwrestled Verizon to the ground in less than an hour...unheard of!!  Phone is all set up, new account opened and the price is better than last year...I'm happy!

And then I hit the interstate and got as far as I had energy for...not as far as I planned but good enough! I'm at a Flying J for the night and trying to decide whether to cook for myself or eat out!

Oh and I captured, killed and threw out the 2 hitchhikers I had picked up last week at the campground - the meese are GONE!!!! Now I just have to clean up after them..messy houseguests...

The adventure finally begins for this year.... :D :D :D

Wonderful thread!
I nursed an almost immovable left arm on Sunday, Xrays and about 12 hours sleep on Monday, today reading about local road trips, tomorrow doc again...

I went to the pharmacy to pick up a script for mom , then drove her 50 miles INLAND to get some seafood ! I know ! But it is absolutely top quality and the yummiest scallops to be had ???? (they try harder I guess) Took home a half pound of crab leg meat for stew tomorrow too .
I still get lobby meat from the Flying Dutchman ported on one of the local islands though.........and noooooo , the cap'n don't be Davey Jones but I call him that anyway !!! Arrrrrrrrrrgh!

I buried some poo.

That's not a euphemism. I dug a hole in the desert and dumped the contents of my bucket into it.

See, now THAT's why I dream of van dwelling. Inspirational stories like that. THANK you MrNoodly. :D  (must have been QUITE the poop to take all day)

lol, rina you have a low threshold for inspirational stories. that made my night. highdesertranger

I don't think Noodly is saying it took him all day........just that's all he did !?
Then again , taking a long walk to do this could be a very good idea !

Drove 103 miles, visited the original Col Sanders Cafe in Corbin Ky, and finished wiring my charge controller, MT50 Tracer Meter and solar panels... then cooked cheesy creamy chicken and rice for supper.  Parked for the night at Lowe's.
