I am a shuttle bus driver and have often thought that they would make a good rv conversion project, except for all that glass and fiberglass.

Has anybody seen pics of a build showing how they wall up all that glass or how to mount anything to that fiberglass interior shell? The exterior body is fiberglass, maybe the interior isn't, it just seems like carpet and padding glued on.

Any info would be helpful. I have driven buses from 45 foot tour buses on down and my preference is the shuttles.

I've never seen it, but my first thought would be to just leave them where they are. A few you will want to leave as windows and everything else I would fill with refelctix on the outside and 1 or 2 inchs of styrofoam under that. If you want it to look nice I would cover the wall with a paneling that appeals to you or even Luan.

They are so wide you can afford to lose some space so I would probably put sheets of styrofoam between the walls and the paneling.

When I was looking for a bus I seen a shuttle bus for sale that was partially converted. The guy did just what Bob has suggested. He also painted the outside glass on the windows he covered with insulation on the inside.
