Being a former Texan ;) I love the New Braunfels area!! So pretty!! And you went from there to.. Lubbock? (haha.. where I also picked up my rig, slightly older than yours with no slide)... talk about flat and yuck. So where you headed?

Nice rig!

Haha Thaedyn, I loved the New Braunfels area! Especially Fischer! (Just not San Antonio... Ugh) So pretty! Unfortunately I live in Lubbock, and that is where the job is that will pay for this beast (until they say I can work on the road!) so I need to be here for a little while. But it gives me time to get used to the lifestyle before I hit the road!

I do plan on hitting all 49 roaded states eventually. After all said and done, I plan on settling in Colorado (because I LOVE me some mountains, trees and snow), and during the winter probably down to quartsite since there's a lot of folks like us there! Maybe even visit the folks down in Texas (San Angelo), but it can still get kinda cold there.

Congratulations on a very nice rig! I hope that you have many wonderful adventures in it!

congrats very nice looking rig. isn't New Braunfels an old German town. if it's the town I am thinking about I was there for Octoberfest one year, oh man what an Octoberfest and great bbq. good luck with your rig. highdesertranger

I think you mean Fredricksberg, which is a German-style tourist town (on the way to New Braunfels from Lubbock!) which hosts Oktoberfest.

I don't care what anyone says; I want one! They may not be as maneuverable as a class B or just a cargo van, but come on, all that room? The ability to stand up and walk around? And much cheaper than a class B.
As of now I'm starting a donation fund for one.
Please, no donations smaller than [emoji765][emoji637][emoji646][emoji646][emoji646][emoji385], thank you!

Congratulations on your new ride. It looks great. I hope you have many good times and happy memories with your fine looking Class C.

Travel Safe. Bob J.

Highdesertranger is correct. New Braunfels is a German town and there is the annual Octoberfest which is a weekend orgy of beer and bbq. Fredericksburg is about an hour and a half from there and is also a German community. Both are wonderful places to go.

Isn't Oktoberfest in Fredricksburg? New Braunfels is a regular town, where Fredricksburg is dedicated to tourism of the German brewery.

But you are right, they are both nice places! I dislike I-35 that runs through New Braunfels as it causes crazy traffic around 5pm, but it's very pretty there!

well now I am all confused. all I know is I was pretty drunk at the time. highdesertranger

While not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I just left my job as a service manager for a Ford dealer. I agree change the fluid, but you won't get it all changed unless you have it flushed. I done thousands of these since the machines came out, and never had one break a transmission. I left the business after doing it for 43 years. That's my opinion for what it's worth.
