I just wrapped up the last 3 days of Schoolie Palooza in Ehrenberg, and I can say with certainty it was the best event of the year in Arizona for 2020.

There were nomads in every type of vehicle from all over the USA and Canada.   The whole group was friendly, good food, good times, great campfires...   just WOW!

It had the feel of the old time RTR when it was held locally in the campground and before the masses found it to be the "in" place to be.

There were hundreds of nomadic vehicles to see, great music at a good volume, free pizza and plenty of friendly people to chat with.

I am looking forward to next year's Schoolie Palooza where ever it may be held.

Top row, second from left, is that a drop ramp on the back end sort of like a C-130? Toy hauler schoolie!

I thought that too. Stainless lower skirts look good. Long overhang.

All types of rigs? I thought it was school busses only?

Cam,

I was there, I guess just before you arrived. It was a great event and met many nice people who gave us tours.

There were nomads in all types of rigs there.

The following YouTube link is a good explanation of the event.

BTW, my step van was captured at the 22 second mark.   Sure surprised me as I watched the video.

Well crap. Guess I know for next year...

That was a cool video and looks like a fun event....I saw a really cool skoolie at Sturgis last summer...I wish I could have seen the inside:

Jan 28, I just had my weekly shower in Ehrenberg, and now having my weekly 10 minutes of internet in a PL. Much fun being totally off the grid 99% of the time, and no smart phone. Now I know why the Laundromat parking lot in E was full of busses. Pleasant travels. (give my regards to John).

Gotta love skoolies, I am not enough of a mechanic to own one: their builds involve welding and massive paint jobs, engine and tranny overhauls, but they wind up with that self made big rig.

Nice looking step van at .22 mark, gitano.
