I get the "Workamper"  news letter, this was in it today.  it looks interesting,  they want RVers for disaster relief workers.

I know nothing about this organization and I am not endorsing it.  do your homework.  if they are legit it seems pretty cool.

If there is one thing this group has developed some skill at doing it's managing with few amenities.
If you have some time and any skill at all, disaster relief assistance is welcomed even if it's just bringing in water/food from a distribution warehouse. Which is obviously no small thing. You will need credentials to prove who you are and your vehicle is registered and licensed to you. That's all standard verification procedure. You sign off on what your taking and what district it's going to, etc.

Do your homework before getting involved, look for seasoned organizations that are you know, organized.

Good post HDR.

I don't know about these organizations But when I used to be a Owner/Operator I would take loads of goods like water, food and blankets from what our local churches would gather and take them to places like Katrina etc. so local churches may be a place to start. They always would manage to get me pretty much a semi load and my donation was my fuel and time. It always worked for me.
