There are whole groups of Lazy Daze owners who have big get-togethers all over the country. My cousin and her husband have a 2002(?) 26.5-footer they love. I think they have like 200,000 miles on the V-10. One of there best features is the wrap-around windows/focus on the view. They were one of the better-built class B & C RV's don't know if they are still in business. As to the Ford E450 chassis, most RVs are built on this platform, and yeah, your not buying a class B or C for the gas millage. Plan on ten mpg or less with a gas engine. The V-10 Triton is an industrial engine with a lot of power and torque, a good choice, but I'd rather have the old 7.3 or new 6.7 diesel myself. Better millage, and especially when towing. I tow a 2K Jeep WJ 4x4 Grand Cherokee; she's not light. If I could find a nice clean used Lazy Daze here in Houston I could afford, I'd buy it. Just my 2-cents worth for what it's worth. If you're looking for economy, there's a Toyota RV for sale here for $3850. I think it is excellent for one person or a very friendly couple. It's old but in good shape with only 110,000 miles on the v-6.
