You can easily get full hook-ups in Quartzsite for $200 a month (equal to $50 a week).

They're paying $2 an hour.

You're mistaken about the cost of a full hook up site in Q. I checked every one that had a website, a couple of years ago. There was one for $195/mo plus electricity. But their price went up for the month of January. The rest ranged between $325 an$d $495/mo, also not including electricity. And again, unless you were paying in advance, for the season, the price went up for the month of January.

Still, not a great wage. But the convenience of a hot shower, sewer, water, unlimited wifi, in some cases, is worth something to myself and perhaps others.

I'm sure you know more than I do, but I thought they had dropped because most of them aren't filling up anymore.

Just wondering what the attraction is to living in an RV park?  I can't see it.  Crowded, lots of noise, small area with virtually no privacy.

The desert is large and full of wonderful adventure with the grandest of all gifts, the solitude of nature.

I can see it for some. full hook ups, warm and comfy, cable TV, and internet. although not for me on a regular basis I might do it for a week off, every now and then. highdesertranger

Looks like another job of working for nothing. As busy as Quartzite is in the winter, there must be several paying jobs.

Some people don't want or can't take paying jobs but have income at a level that having free RV site with all the amenities leaves money free in the budget for other things.

Come the day when I don't want to travel so much I could see myself taking on an exchange program like that. My first choice would be as a camp host in something other than a private park but it's sometimes easier to get a placement in a private park than it is to go through the bureaucracy in the state or national park systems.

I wish there was a system in place for work for stay ads in Ontario like there is throughout the US. I'd gladly take an RV place here for the summer when I have to put in my time up here.

Most of these places it really isn't much like work. Usually a couple hours in the morning and the rest of the day you're sorta on call...not all but lots of them.
If you handle the office part it's about greeting and a short paper form.
Not really any hard work to it.

Is that per person or per couple?

"We are looking for an RV worker who can start as soon as possible." Sounds singular to me.  Nothing stopping you from asking the place posting for help.  I am not intentionally trying to sound rude, it just comes out that way sometimes :p
