Roof rack for 2012 transit connect

I need to know-how to put a roof rack on so I can put an awning on. What tool do i need to do it with. I would also like to know if others have done this. Thanks

TC's come with 4 hard points (threaded holes) on the roof, specifically designed for roof racks.  
There are at least a dozen different configurations to choose from, but I went with a simple Yakima rack.  You just have to get the proper towers that mate with your van.

Oh wait, I didn't address the "what tool do I need" question. With a Yakima, it takes a simple Allen-Wrench. The rack I bought came with all the necessary hardware, and even had a little wrench in the kit. I'd imagine different manufacturers will supply different types of fasteners, though.

If you read the description below the video, it says it's an ARB awning.  Looks like you can get them at Amazon.  

My Yakima rack was about $400.  I wanted to mount more than just an awning, so I went with a roof rack.
