Quarter million bucks and ya still gotta carry yer 1 little solar panel outside and plug it in; AND carry yer 'cassette' to the loo!
It IS pretty, though.
That price is way out of line! I could understand $70-80k. That would be high, but closer to Airstream and Oliver pricing. $219k is unreal. Few could afford that, let alone consider it a good value.
On the subject of cassette toilets, I love my Thetford with the manual flush. You don't have to hunt down a dump station, pay a dump fee, mess with hoses, supports, fittings, valves, gloves, etc. or even move your trailer to dump.
I can just slide my cassette out, take it to the nearest toilet, dump, flush, slide it back in and I'm done. You can even do it without gloves as there is no exposed waste - very hygienic. I just wash my hands for good measure when I'm done, more for the idea of handling waste than any bacterial contamination. Plus it reduces boondocking water use, as flushing only used a tiny amount of water. It has its own separate flush tank that holds a couple gallons of water, which usually lasts a month or more for the 2 of us. For particularly nasty, adhesive bowel movements (not to get too graphic) a quick shot from our nearby shower sprayer facilitates a clean flush using about a cup of water.
Of course if you like to camp with full hook-ups and stay in one place for a long time then conventional tanks and hoses may be more convenient, but when my DW and I are camping with full hookups I just pop out the cassette about once a week, walk around to the other side of my camper and dump it down the sewer pipe and we're good to go. For a single camper, it might hold a couple weeks or more between emptyings depending on how much you pee in it.
For instance, if you're a big beer drinker, you may have to dump more often.
