thanks everybody. Bob I like the Detroit, It's super strong, and super simple. there is no need for additives because there are no clutches to grab and wear out. plus for a 14 bolt they are down right cheap if you look around you can find them for about 450 bucks new. however many complain that they are harsh and make noise when turning on pavement. they are and they do. however I feel the advantages and their superiority over other types of lockers makes up for these things. that's how I traded for mine, the guy I traded with didn't like the harshness. the only locker/posi I would put over it would be an ARB air locker but those prices they get for those, dang. highdesertranger
 
so hows the air ride working out? fine with the stock leafs or thinking about removing a couple?
 
haven't had the truck fully loaded yet. I carry a lot of weight when on the road. so that will be the real test. right now I keep 20lbs in them, just cuz you are supposed to keep a little air in them. highdesertranger
