I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rear corder of the van. it did had have a built in corner already but it was so dry rotted i had to take most of it out and I wasn't able to salvage it to make a template. there is not really any ribs or areas to screw to and wood does not curve. Any ideas or photos of what others have done.

Use cardboard to make a template. Easy to maneuver and refit as you go.... what do you have in the way of tools or saws?

Edit...... couple other questions that came to mind, what caused the rot, did you find any water intrusion? And. What do "you" want there?

I've got pretty much everything but a table saw. The root was caused because the previous owner had moved the water tank to the rear and it was leaking and that corner pretty much soaked up everything

Oh man, well at least it's not an external leak,

there are 4 different ways to bend wood/curve wood, you can score it across grain to about 1/8th" from all the way through, along the length you need; soak it and then bend it.

Option 2 and 3 require a little more work and or tools, steam bending, or if you can get to a table saw. 1/8" - 1/4" strips cut long grain and glued and clamped in the desired shape.

Option 4 and the weakest of them is to cut the radius you need

Step 1 would be to get your template made out of cardboard, then choose 1 of the 4, if you need more info let me know!

Underneath whatever is in the picture is metal including ribs to screw things to.

I'd suggest taking it back to bare van walls and start from there.

And yes, cardboard is great for making templates. Cut, fit, trim, tape extra in where you cut too much off, trim some more. Just remember that the cardboard is going to bend a little differently than even 1/4" plywood or Luann so even after cutting the wood from a template you will probably still have some more adjusting to do.

that is brand new walls i just put up so i understand the rib walls but the ribs were spaced differently than my last van.

Just have to improvise a bit, adapt to the different connection points.... how is it going, been a couple days?
