Do a Google search on Apple Quicktime for Windows.
It turns out that there is a security flaw in Apple's Quicktime for Windows. Hackers can exploit this flaw to redirect your browser to sites THEY want it to go to, which allows them to take over your computer.
When this was recently discovered and pointed out to Apple, rather than fix it, they simply announced that they would no longer support Quicktime for Windows with security upgrades.
So the federal government recommended that all Windows users delete Quicktime from their machines.
But wait! Adobe now says that deleting Quicktime can cause problems with their Creative Cloud.
I'm glad I never fell for THAT nonsense.
