Lake Mead filled
By November rains
Hoover Dam
feels the pain
Every one dependent
Happy for flow
The leaky wall
Soon to go
Cold water runs
To Ten below
Drinking water
No more free to see
Dying of thirst

I wrote this poem in the beginning of July. I expected rising waters to be the indicator that “Soon” is close, near. North of this Dam water theBest put option hedge on fear.
Fear is far when “Hello.” Is near.
