I'm sure the costs vary, but what might the general range be to put a high-top on a van?

it's been so long since I was in the business I really could not tell you. I can tell you this, it's not that hard. the hardest part is lifting the top in place. highdesertranger

from my research,a couple 3 hundred if you find a used top and do it yourself and 2-4 grand if you buy new and have a shop do it

About a year ago, the place in L.A. (they didn't want to be quoted) quoted me $2k to $2.5k for their tops, depending on the length, height and style. But you would need to add 200 for plywood reinforcement, 450 for a white gelcoat finish, and 900(?) to have them cutout your roof and install it. Plus some other odd options you might want. Think an internal fiberglass liner was 500. Given today's price of crude, their price today should not be much different from that. They sounded like a good company, have a good website with good reviews on other forums, but don't like to be held to last year's prices today - I guess their costs can vary quite a bit.
