Public sources for battery recharging

If I decided on a battery like a GoalZero, are there are public sources where one can plug in and recharge them, say, if solar isn't enough?

Campgrounds and hotels.

Solar 's easier.

Get some while driving too.

I didn't have my solar mounting brackets for a week and I'm a heavy user. My solution? I hooked my car battery/alternator up to an extra light switch and to my battery bank, of which I switched on when I drove to charge the batteries. Poor mans battery isolator. Don't leave it on! *cringe at dead car battery*

Protip: You can run a wire through a hole in your door from your engine compartment. I can show you pics if you can't find it. I almost shit myself trying to figure that out.

You can, but it is a heavier draw than a cell phone or a laptop.  I'd ask, and offer a nominal donation.  If you go stealth, just apologize if someone objects.
