So, I work and have a monthly debit to a community center of $37.

I have been told, I have free use of showers at work and so that $37 a month might better go elsewhere?

The showers would be available Mon-Fri

I admit, I rarely shower on the weekends anyway. I usually use the wifi at the library and on Sunday I use the centers wifi.

If I ever lose the job, I can always go back.

Sounds good to me. If you have issues with the Sunday wifi, you can go to MacDonald for breakfast or get a couple extra gigs on your plan that you can use anywhere.

I won't pay for showers, that's why I have my own. I like to take at least one shower a day, and sometimes more.

By having my own, I have the convenience of being able to take a shower any time and any where.

$37 a month is about 4 dinners eating out for me, which I'd much rather spend the money on than showers...

Now if you're using the gym to actually work out too, then maybe it is money well spent...

My hip (Which got the cortisone shot) is good for walking limited distances. If I walk or do anything for exercise involving the hip, well, I don't do it.

I just did other things, like drinking only black coffee...Cut 1000 calories out by doing that.

There was other reasons to keep it (Wifi) but I find there's so many other "Free" areas that it doesn't hurt letting them go and spending the money elsewhere.

Your hip. I feel your pain. I just had my own hip xrayed and am waiting for an appt for an MRI. I am so glad we took off in the rv when we did and I got to do the hiking and exploring that I  did. It looks like that won't last. Arthritis. Possible torn ligament.

Ouch! Yeah, I WAS working out way prior to this, but lately the hip started really being a pest, so I figured that I'd settle the matter once and for all. I will admit, it feels GREAT to stand up without the painful "Creaking" feeling that seemed to be my back, but was my hip all along.

Now with a new (And VERY VERY easy job) I'm actually looking forward to work. Yep, not a lot of $$$ but the savings I have from not paying rent and other "Costs" just keeps me warm all night long (Along with a blanket, propane heater and sleeping bag (If needed)
