This was the brain child of my lovely boyfriend, but I did half of the work (don't tell him that)

Opening is cut at an angle, so that the 3 inch thick door can open.

Finding attachment points can be tricky. Don't poke a hole in your van! This is the seat and side door well. We attached at the top only in the corners, where there is an extra layer of metal.

Highly professional use of duct tape, once again, to make sure light does not come through, under any circumstances!

Then we filled the partition wall with fiberglass insulation, and covered the "living room" side with the same pretty wood we used for the walls...

Bam!

If you have questions, and/or are in need of more pictures of this process, just ask!

Looks sweet We plan to make a sliding door for space saving. Not sure how it will work out though.

Thank you Squirbel!

Dazar...a sliding door sounds really neat! The door to the wall does take up a lot of room, but it's kind of dead space, being that it's in front of the side doors. If you want to use the side doors, you can't really install anything there, anyway. Well I guess you could, but it would be cramped. I think the sliding door would be easier to manipulate while driving, though. I have to climb in the back to hook the door to an open position. Interesting idea. Good luck with it!
