There are some more on the Flickr site, but many more I've not had time to upload yet.

I didn't want to come back...

Gorgeous. Did you notice all your other flicker pics have disappeared? Was just getting ready to PM you to see if you were okay. ...

Hi. Beautiful photos. Don't know if i missed it but where were the photos taken? The one with the blue and orange and green mountain is fantastic. I want to go there. Nora

Thanks, all for the welcome back.

Nora. Most of these photos were in or around Juneau Alaska. The orange colored landscape was in the interior of Denali Park. That's where we photographed the caribou, as well.

The moose was just wandering down the road south of Captain Cook inlet, on the Kenai peninsula.

The TC worked out great. It has more room than the old GyrFalcon did, which is nice for two people. We never felt cramped, even on the rainy days when we stayed camper bound. It has more stuff than we'll use, but that's OK. The toilet came in handy in those areas where you're expected to pack EVERYTHING out lol.

Met a lot of interesting people, from a woman pool hustler (now 70) who made her fortune hustling men at the table, to a native Alaskan - a former seal hunter who had been removed from his home and forced to attend one of the religious schools; forced to learn English and forbidden to speak his native language. All for his good, of course.

We didn't get up to the arctic circle, and we didn't go island hopping on the ferry -too time consuming and expensive. We hiked and rode our bikes around the area for several months before Gail got the urge to see friends and family.

Personally, I'd have stayed.

Been back a week, though, and we're ready to head out again. Been hearing about Moosehead Lake, in Maine...

I added More photos to the Flickr account. Just click on the username below the photo. I have some nice photos of marine wildlife - orca, humpback, otter , harbor seals - which I'll add in a day or two. Thought you might be amazed by this particularly scruffy creature Gail photographed along the trail. Possibly the fabled Yeti...
