We just bought a loaded 2001 Olds Silhouette minivan with 122K from original owner. We had looked at a couple of Astro vans and were hesitant after what we read concerning their reliability and mpg. Edmunds recommended this model for it's mileage and refinement.
We had looked at quite a few used vans with over 100K and usually had front end problems. Drove this the other day and then returned to it today and scooped it before it went to auction. We will use it for traveling and camping and carrying our bikes in. We are having it cleaned and detailed also. Took the back seats out and has quite a bit of room. I can imagine that it could be used as a live-in vehicle with proper interior mods. Darrell

Hi, i was thinking of getting one like that too. It is a seven seater, but the seats come out easy. I wonder how to make it (my home), on wheels. Any pics of your van? Thanks....
