As soon as this is posted, I'm going to ask a moderator to cancel my account. This is the only thing I can think of to do to right this wrong- passively make a stand. Let the username Canine stand as a martyr for proven, true facts.

'Falling on your sword' over shaded solar panel output seems a bit extreme. But its your call, of course.

I only know my test results on my system. Your system might be different.
Yes I believe that was the only message, and in fact does not conflict with the point Canine was making.

Also, many people do not worry much about shade's effects.

True enough, since most of us size our system to outperform what is actually needed most of the time. So a bit of shading with a parallel system can be tolerated, regardless of the actual single or multiple panel effect.

If full power output is needed, such as after 3 days of cloudy weather and depleted batteries, one could rearrange the vehicle so that the flat roof-mounted panels would receive more sunlight.

Or fire up the genset.

Sorry to see Canine go away. I was hoping he would do some real time testing and post results concerning shaded panels.

Seems entitled, just contributing good info is plenty.

Maybe he'll stick around or come back, online does require thick skin and patience sometimes.
