Hey there y'all.  Joe RedBeard here. I've been wondering around this website for a while now, looking at van mods and seeing folks living out there on the outskirts and stealthy in the city, and figured since i am heading out that path myself here soon in a month or so, i would introduce myself and be able to comment on posts and such!!
im 32 and have been a mild vagabond since graduating high school.  working for months and saving money to travel about has been a passion of mine always.  from touring with bands (mostly punk and hardcore as far as music is concerned) to bumming rides and riding freights, going from place to place to see new places, old friends, meeting new people has been my love affair for years.
I recently came into a van via family that i actually helped them buy, a 2001 chevy astro, and come the end of the month, i'll be making it my general home with my dog angus and making my way north and across the top of the country as the summer goes on, and south once the temps start dropping on a nation tour, ending back up in asheville nc i am sure to continue with work and saving money for the next adventure.  Thanks for all the helpful posts and pictures and such, i'll make sure to post my own work on the van as soon as i get her back from the shop (replacing the AWD motor).
Hope you all have a wonderful day!!
Red Beard.

Now are you saying you have an angus named "dog" or a dog named "angus"? Lol. I bet you musical sorts are fun to be around during the RTR's.
