Those just might be my answer to rain boots!

With the ankle braces I wear I can't get my feet in to a regular pull on rain boot. All of the old fashioned galoshes I find only come in mens' sizes and never small enough for my feet....sigh!!

I could make my own!...

Wonder if they come in a studded snow tire.

I don't often see galoshes anymore.

There's this Indian tribe in Mexico, the Tarahumaras I believe, that wear huaraches (sandals) made with tire treads. They are also some of the best long distance runners in the world, wearing their off road boots. That picture reminded me of them.
