not every Christmas is merry

I lost a wife on christmas ~~~ I also lost one on April 1st.   :angel:

Things happen, and certain events, sounds and smell will always remind me of some situation.  I prefer to dwell on the good times, rather than the bummers. My kids loved the Christmas best when we were staying in the Farm Workers Barracks.  The best memories are when I had to be the strongest I could to keep things together for the kids

Spent Christmas eve with 2 of my sisters this year....We got to talking about when we were kids and apparently, we were dirt poor back then. I dont remember getting a lot as a kid, but I think I was pretty happy. I guess I figured we were just normal, but I guess my sisters thought otherwise. Maybe its different for girls.
That said, I think that now is my favorite time for holidays, as I can spoil my grandkids and my great grandson who is just over a year old.....Boy, did he seem to have a fun time as most of the presents were for him.
