IT's on order and due here this week.
This is actually my 3rd post as i read a couple this morning that I wanted to respond to.
So I'm totally retired as of last April. May 1, I rode my motorcycle to Canada and back for 3 weeks. as well as many other long rides for 7500 miles. I also drove my Miata out to Colorado with my wife for 15 days. All of these trips were camping, as that is what we do.
We have been very limited as we have many hobbies and toys to use but not all at once. We think this van will more fit the bill. It is a 148 wheelbase with low roof, for ease of loading kayaks. I will pull a trailer for my motorcycle, unloading the bike for riding about the countryside a couple hundred miles from camp. Inside will be the two bicycles santa brought the wife and i, along with 3 kites and boards, wet suits and things I use for kite surfing.
We always camp in a tent and plan to continue, with sleeping only in the van while in-route, or when the tent blows to shreds like it did a couple years ago in Key West.
so my plans is a raised bed 48" wide, storage underneath.
Styrofoam board insulation in walls and ceiling and covered with luan. it looks like others and having good luck with painting the wood so i'm leaning that way, or even a wall paper...ideally would be trunk liner fabric.
