Bob and Other's,
What do you think about the NISSAN NV 200 being converted to a mini-camper-van regarding cost, and reliability? I read it is also marketed as a Chevrolet City Express Van and Bob's video on picking vehicles mentioned Chevy's are better than many others but I don't think he talked about this model.

I've had mine for 3 years and it's been great. I'm 5'7" and can sleep comfortably with a partition behind the seats but much taller would be tight.

I get 25mpg with all the stuff on top. I have 90k miles on it and the only issue I've had is premature tire wear. Rear bearings and shocks were replaced under warranty and a front alignment at my expense seems to have corrected that for now.

By the numbers the small Dodge is better - better mpg, power, and it's rated to tow a little. It was new when I was in the market and I've had bad experiences with Dodge so I didn't look at it seriously. I needed something reliable right away that was small enough to traverse tight parking garages but big enough I could spend extended time in the back so I bit the bullet and bought it new.

I'm sure Bob's comments were about full size Chevy vans which have little to nothing in common with these things.

The Chevy City Express is no longer produced...maybe last model year was 2017..or earlier. That didn't last long.

NV200 sales are increasing to the point I'm seeing more of them than Transit Express.  I predict at the next RTR there will be a bunch of them converted to campers.

NV is a few inches taller inside than the Transit Express, and has the best warranty and best ground clearance of any minicargo.  I've started adding minicargos to the rvwiki comparo page.

The Chevy City Express had less warranty than the NV200, which made the Chevy version less compelling.  Not surprised it went away.  IMO it was a stopgap keep people away from Ford dealerships (Transit Express).

That's a lot of work for the community Frater, great public resource. Thanks!

I used to drive a Transit connect for local delivery. I’m 6’3, so if you’re near my height I think you would have some comfort issues. Also not a vehicle I would want to drive a long distance in. If you’re shorther you may be ok though....as long as you don’t mind not being able to stand.
