Newer Transit With High Top

I saw a current generation Transit Connect with a high top today. It was a fleet van with Florida plates.

Sorry, but in my unsolicited opinion it looks ugly and out of place. Hard to say for sure, but it almost looks like an older top stuck to a newer vehicle. I bet it kills the fuel mileage too...

Aesthetics aren't great but outside of lower mpg the functionally improvement of the high top looks great for a vandweller. Older I am the more important standing is, if I have the choice.

Intriguing but I wish they'd have continued the topper toward the windshield and tail more for aero. I like the idea of those little transits for light and fast travel. I also wonder what it would look like extended a bit more than stock.

After seeing how the newer vans hold up transporting goods and people over the dirt access roads for a season the suspension and breaks seem to be a weak point. I would hate to think what even more weight would do!
