I am sooo glad to have found this forum! I'm a 60 year old single female and I'm selling my car and buying a 20' C class. I have been wanting to do this for so long. I know very little about how to do this and I don't have any money except my monthly "survivors benefits" from SS. But I'm doing ALOT of reading and I'll be on the road by my 61st birthday (Sept. 14). I will be staying within Arizona and New Mexico. My kids and grand kids are in Arizona and I have health insurance through the state of New Mexico, so that will be my domicile state. So I'm learning about generators, deep cycle batteries, inverters, it's a whole new world! Yea!!! Talk to ya soon!

Hello, Im new to, welcome. I will be wintering in arizona. What area are you at?

Next month I'll be in Mesa at my sons while I sell my car and then look for an RV. As to where I'll go then, I don't know. I was just thinking that I should stay close to a (warm) town (NOT the Phoenix area!) for the winter while I work the kinks out of the the rv and my new lifestyle. Where are you going to be?

Good luck and welcome...There are topics galore here to help you.
Rae

Welcome Sara! I used to live in AZ before moving up the Seattle area. I might end up moving back down that way at some point. Best of luck to you and yours.

Welcome Sara! I owned a class C for awhile so you're more than welcome to pick my brain for help with this type motorhome before or after you get one. Good luck.

Greetings! It's great to have you here. There is a great peace of mind from this lifestyle in terms of more financial security, being closer to nature, and such. Have fun!

VT

Thanks for the welcomes and offers of advice. I'm sure I'll be needing it down the line!
