Hello out there,
I am new to this site, and am learning so much here.
I am addicted to the YouTube videos and Hubby and I watch them everyday, in the morning while drinking our morning coffee.
We aren't "on the road" but have the access to do so, Motorhome, tow-car, all the stuff, but still not on the road.
Hubby wants to wait, don't know what for, as we are not getting any younger.
I thank you all for allowing me to enter and post and read and learn here.
I will be reading a lot, maybe even posting some, but most of the time, reading and learning most of the time.
Thanks again, for allowing me to enter, and for the site in general, it is a great place to be, for all the information a person may need to "get out there."

Welcome Bon Bon to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. I think you and hubby should take a little vacation and come on down to RTR in January. that might give him a little kick. highdesertranger

Welcome to the CRVL Forum   :)

Sounds like your husband isn't exactly sure of what you'll be doing once you hit the road.  Just driving the road all day will burn up a lot of fuel and money not to mention roll up the mileage on the RV.

So...........let me invite to look through my bottom link in my signature line below.  It was created to help people learn how to live once out there.   I call it a Swiss Army Knife of helpful information for the traveler. There are several trip planners, with sight seeing suggestion options in them to use. Campground finders (free and fee bearing) Plus a lot of handy things to help you be prepared
for whatever comes your way.

One of the ways of traveling I like to mention is the 2-2-2 method.

You get up in the morning and have your coffee and breakfast and break camp after the morning traffic has thinned out. Then you travel for no more than "2" hours making stops for museums, scenic areas, bicycling, tours, or whatever. Then by "2" pm, you are finding where you want to stay the night. Once you are set up there you will spend the rest of the evening there and the next "2" days sight seeing, hiking trails, fishing, boating, (if there is a body of water) and those sort of things.

Wishing you two the best !

I will check out the link you suggested.
I may get him talked in to coming to the RTR, I am working on him. He now says that next year, we will be going West, so.... I can always hope he will do so. lol
Thanks for the warm welcome, and I will be here often, to keep up with what is happening with the others here too.
Thanks again!!!  :)

Thank you for the helpful link and the good 2-2-2 advice.
Sounds like something he would go for.
I am so happy to have found this site and will be looking and reading and learning here daily.
Thanks again!!!

Speaking ans a guy who works hard at his job and whose now ex wife was a bear for 'getting out of the house' on his few days off, I sure wish someone had gotten jeanne that advice, we could have got out of the house, then I could have gotten some rest at wherever we went, instead of 'shopping'
I swear I got more rest at work  :p

LOL, I was never a "shopper" and Hubby and I agree on that.
He worked 38 years in the coal mines, the last 24 on a rotating shift of Midnight, Afternoon, Day. (MAD) and yes he was mad when he had to do it but a man does what a man has to do, to pay the bills. But now, since he has retired, we don't go much, we do have a camp in the Mountains of Webster Co. WV, we do go there.
So now since he has a new motor home, I am ready to get out there and see what our great country looks like. He is slow to motivate, but after watching a lot of Youtube videos about traveling and going to the RTR, I think he is in the mood. Now, to keep him there. LOL
So, glad to be here, and glad to meet you all!!!!
