all the cool kids do it...

Getting 2 grand for the Astro probably will make any problems less painful.........

Uh, I'll stick with white, thank you, lol.

Yes, I hated the 04 Astro about a week after I bought it. I loved my 98-99 & 2000 Astro's really much. They all go forever, but when they fall apart, they FALL APART!!

Update on the Savana - Sloppy steering was due to most of the front end parts are toast, and the steering gearbox is leaking. I have a lift available in this building, the parts will be here tomorrow and we will get them on ASAP. There is an alignment shop right next door, and he owes me money for computer work.
The blower motor is dying, so while I'm at it I'll just change it too.
There are a few rogue wires under the hood, George speculated a piece of equipment the PO used in their business.
For some people these repairs would be tragedy, to me it's all about putting together a new home. I'm totally jazzed!! I got it fairly cheap, I'll fix it up right while I can and look forward to a long working future and less worries later.

@Gadget728: In the future, it might be helpful to include a screenshot. Links to items for sale do not last forever. Congrats on your find.

Thanks introverting! Sorry, I hadn't thought of that. :shy:

Put a couple of windows in the hightop and we could be twins.... :D

Well except yours is cleaner.... :p

Thanks Wanderer!!

Thanks Almost There. I think it was you that was interviewed by Bob, and you said you knew your van needed some money invested, but you liked it enough it just didn't matter. I feel the same way. I'd love some windows like yours!!
Up close the body on mine is rough. This van was owned by a company that fracks oil. It's amazing it would come from those kind of idiots that I despise so much. It was pretty torn up, but I've been making improvements as I can afford it. I've already dumped a grand into it, and it probably needs at least that much more until I'm satisfied it's road ready.

Yes, I believe that would be me!!

I had a budget figure in mind and then had also budgeted for a high top and I had a budget for repairs. Since she already had the hightop I was able to put the money in to things like the fridge, freezer and 4 batteries without even flinching!!

I paid $3,500.00 Cdn for it and put an immediate thousand in to engine battery and new tires. Then another $1,500 in to mechanical and body work BEFORE I even started on the interior. I still got something that will last me for years and got all the bells and whistles I wanted!!

BTW if you find someplace that has windows like mine for sale, see if they have a spare screen and frame for the passenger side will ya! Somehow it's missing entirely so I can only open that window if there are no bugs...sigh!!
