New member, but I've been watch CheepRV Living youtube for 2 years.  I don't want to really go it alone.  I've seen the HOWA and Meetup.   But there are no official gatherings.
I sold my business and house and have been backpacking all over the world.  (pic of me Everest Base Camp)    Then this virus.  Impossible to travel internationally now.   I've been stuck in Morocco since Jan 1, 2020.  I'm hoping they will lift lockdown in June so I can fly back  to my van in Indiana.

Any suggestion appreciated.  I was thinking Quartzsite.  But is it too hot now?

Welcome to the CRVL forums Nestor! Yes, Quartzsite is way too hot now. Most nomads in the western states head to the mountains or the Pacific Northwest for the summer.
There aren't any caravans now but you can join a virtual caravan, have the chance to talk with other nomads, and maybe make plans to meet up with a small group when you get your van.
Join Meetup https://www.meetup.com/ then click on the Meetup link on the Caravan section of the HOWA website https://homesonwheelsalliance.org/programs/

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Yes, Quartzsite is too hot now. Unless you like 100 degree weather (some folks do).

Those of us still in Arizona are at higher elevations - Prescott, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon rim, etc.

Wishing you luck!

Washington and Oregon are currently shut down for camping on the state and federal lands. That may or may not change in June. You will just have to wait and see, there is no way to predict when the recreational lands will be reopening in the Pacific Coast states.

Not totally true.

Oregon and Washington state forest lands and state parks are currently closed to ALL camping -

https://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Recreation/Pages/Camp.aspx
https://www.dnr.wa.gov/rec_open

Developed campgrounds on national park and forest lands are closed, as are most developed day-use sites. But dispersed camping on USFS and BLM lands is open in most areas - https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/r6/home/?cid=FSEPRD716206

It IS true that you should check before you go.

In general, for both Oregon and Washington, if it's a developed campground or day-use site, whether state or federal, it's closed. Some day use sites are being reopened, but most are closed.

Dispersed camping on USFS and BLM lands is generally open, but again, you need to check locally. Most, if not all, federal offices are closed to the public, but they are answering phone messages and email, although you most likely will have to wait a day or two for a return call or email.

Thank you so much. Stressing out here in Morocco. Airport may open in June. Greece may be open for tourism in July. Been here since Jan.1 so I am way beyond my visa of 90 days. LOL
