I have been taking care of family for over 40 years, and have decided when my last grandchild I have raised since he was 2 is 18( 2 years to go) I will take on the rest of my life and there for I’m saving for a van and solar ! There is so much to do, first find a van, can’t afford a new van, but hoping to get a good van with very low mileage and was looking at the savannah . Also d0nt know where to start in getting someone to insulate it for me, build a bed etc. soliar is another issue, I had heard Arizona has cheaper solar and accessories here, Montana is under snow 75% of the year it seems.any suggestions ? I need the van done inside, and solar on the top. I could use all the help I can get.

Welcome to the CRVL forums Karlamaria! You have two years to plan. That's good! Concentrate on finding a good van. Don't worry too much about building it out. All you really need to start is a foam pad and a warm sleeping bag. If you find a van before you are ready to travel, go camping in Montana. You'll have a chance to decide what you want and need. Then when your grandson is 18, go south for the winter, get solar installed and finish your van build. Good luck and keep us updated!
